  1. We shouldnt be harsh on this match and the team, it was a very tough group. They shouldve coped with it but they played much better football than the seniors at the world cup a year ago.

    Im optimistic for the future, not quite world champions yet boys but bring on the euros!

    Lets hope capello is thinking straight!

  10. @MrNodzilla England , indeed The UK is run by the S C O T S!! let no one tell you different. There are far more Scottish managers in England than English managers for sure – that’s because most are ex-players.

    I can feel you HATE Liverpool and have a hidden agenda here, so I wont even answer your point about money and journalists.
    But it should be enough to say that Liverpool were rich during 1970-85.We could afford to pay 10% more to players -but players were only on £15,000 a week back then.

  15. @UFCritical .Europa is the old Uefa cup,the EPL’s the English premier league.
    Liverpool has got a fine heritage but where do you think their future’s heading,they may have won 18 titles but non of those are recent.
    If you look at your hall of fame you’ll notice how many Scotsmen you have there who won things for Liverpool,the only real reason they played there was basically down to money much like today and i wish they’d just say that instead of journos putting words in their mouths.

  17. @ I’m not knocking the league,it’s obviously up there with any,so does it really need all the hype and money they throw on advertising it,especially to the detriment of other leagues SKY/ESPN is supposed to cover.
    I was watching the Milan game at the san siro when they were being awarded the cup,final whistle blew and they couldn’t get it off fast enough.As i’ve mentioned before having to go interactive for el classico is disgusting,especially when you’ve got shit like darts on the other side!

    Great performance from both of teams, England proved they´ve got better personalities and players are very technically gifted but heart always win. We played like a team, we fought till the end and totaly deserved it!

  19. @MrNodzilla The EPL is the old UEFA cup in disguise, a cup which my team (the greatest team in the UK and NOT in the top 4) has won 3 times!!!

    I don’t want to get bogged down talking club football. If Europeans were more honest when on TV about English football then perhaps we over here MIGHT do something about it, BUT our media constantly shows us Europeans praising everything English – which I know is SH I T !!

    Its the MONEY talking. If we were broke, world will shout England are so Shit!

  20. @MrNodzilla 1st of all I’m not sure if the poll was last year but whatever. I would bet my head anytime on getting the same result this year or 3 years ago or whatever. But i see that no matter what i say you won’t be convinced so the argument is entirely pointless. No need for silly internet fights so you just go ahead and love the league you wish to love and i will do the same. Case closed.

  21. @itsnotfreedom .60% man u fans wanted the EPL rather than CL in the year they’re trying to beat Liverpools record,bit of an unfair poll.If you look at the amount of times Man U has won the EPL and who their rival is(either chelsea or Arsenal,but not both) you wouldn’t be too wrong in arguing it’s a 2 horse race,a bit like you saying La Liga only had 2 teams.It’s funny though how these so called non existent Spanish teams managed to beat Fulham and Boro.

  22. @MrNodzilla But let me just say that there really is no need for such arguing on the internet. Most people know that the English academy system needs some rebuilding, and most players in ANY football league (just look at Madrid pls) are way overpayed. But these don’t mean that the EPL sucks, or that the English national sides are weak, there are reasons for these bad results but i don’t think that “weak squads” are among them. Not even at U level.

  23. @MrNodzilla Let me repeatthat fighting for silverware only means having a decent enough chance of winning something. As for that “at least” which seems to be loved by you let me give you the satisfaction dear sir to admit that there might “only” be 6 really top teams in the EPL. However there are still clubs like Everton Aston Villa Fulham (EL finalist not so long ago) Sunderland or Newcastle who are decent sides indeed. They migh not had the best periods lately but that doesn’t change the fact.
